Example of reliability Tests

Reliability Test

 Reliability tests of FlexHeat products were conducted by test sample as a load to connect power source directly then operated without control of current and temperature. 

1. Repeated Cycling Test (FH-RE-CL-01)

       Test Method: 

  1. Set power on period and power off period.
  2. Set test voltage.
  3. Applying chart recorder to record surface temperature of test sample and ambient temperature at least.
  4. Tested sample must remain functionable and no visible damage or fire or burnned after test.

    Example result A of repeated cycling test 

  • Repeated conditions: Power on for 30min,power off for 5min.
  • Tested voltage: 250Vac
  • Numbers of repeat: 5000 repeats.
  • Tested sample remain functionable after test.   

 

Example result B of repeated cycling test 

  • Repeated conditions: Power on for 1min,power off for 1min.
  • Tested voltage: 24Vdc
  • Numbers of repeat: 10000 repeats. (Ten thousands repeats)
  • Tested sample remain functionable after test.   

 

Example result C of repeated cycling test 

  • Repeated conditions: Power on for 1min,power off for 1min.
  • Tested voltage: 12Vdc
  • Numbers of repeat: 100000 repeats. (Hundred thousands repeats)
  • Tested sample remain functionable after test.   

 

2. Endurance Test (FH-RE-EN-02)

       Test Method: 

  1. Connect test sample with power source.
  2. Set test voltage.
  3. Turn on power.
  4. Applying chart recorder to record surface temperature of test sample and ambient temperature at least.
  5. Tested sample must remain functionable and no visible damage or fire or burnned after test.

    Example result A of endurance test 

  • Endurance conditions: Power on for 5000 hours.
  • Tested voltage: 220Vac
  • Tested sample remain functionable after test.   

 

3. Over-Voltage Test (FH-RE-TR-03)

       Test Method: 

  1. Connect test sample with power source.
  2. Set basic operated voltage.
  3. Turn on power.
  4. Increaseed operated voltage as per request.
  5. Applying data logger to record surface temperature、voltage trend、current behavior of test sample and ambient temperature at least.
  6. Tested sample must remain functionable and no visible damage or fire or burnned after test.

    Example result A of over-voltage test 

  • Initial voltage and power on period: 5Vdc for 10min.
  • Test voltage requested: 7.5/12/24/30Vdc
  • Period at each voltage: 10min
  • Tested sample remain functionable after test.   

 

Example result B of over-voltage test 

  • Initial voltage and power on period: 24Vdc for 10min.
  • Test voltage requested: 48Vdc
  • Period at each voltage: 60min
  • Tested sample remain functionable after test.
